Hi wpcentral community,

I had a Sony Xperia Z and a Samsung ATIV S and I decided to do a boot test between these devices.

Even with the Xperia Z's quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the ATIV S managed to slide by this one by less than a second

more functions?

WP8 runs directly on the kernel. Android runs the dalvik vm between the GUI and the kernel. Android applications also build the exe as the application is run. This is why android require such high spec handsets to run smoothly, and with little or no lag..
