Since the takeover of Nokia by Microsoft I thought the Here Drive would be available free for other brands with WP8.

But today I read this in Nokia Windows Phone apps are now published under 'Microsoft Mobile Oy'

Not all apps have been affected. The HERE suite of apps – HERE Maps, HERE Transit, HERE Drive+, HERE City Lens –​ retain the publisher name 'Here Europe B.V.', since the HERE division at Nokia wasn’t a part of the deal and remains with Nokia.

So does this mean the Here Drive app will not come free of charge on Samsung Ativ S?
And I have to say goodbye to the Ativ S. As Samsung is doing also nothing about it.

What is your solution to have a (good) navigation software on the Ativ S.

I use Navigon, but it's not cheap. However you can still install Here Drive on an Ativ S and it seems to work perfectly

The regular Here Drive app is available for every device, regardless of its OEM. And if I remember correctly Here Drive+ it's said to become available for free with WP 8.1

I have been having alot of problems with here drive since 8.1
Bluetooth issues now not loading at all htc 8s

Here Drive + and Copilot GPS working fine on ativ s 8.1 dp. Here Drive + downloaded free on my phone in the US when I updated to 8.1.
