Hi all, I just brought a MS Band, I want to know if Ativ S with latest firmware (the one released with official 8.1.1) is Bluetooth 4.0 capable? I haven t noticed battery drain...but I want to be sure if it is 4.0 or not. I read somewhere that this update shuold enable it.

This is what I found in wiki.
Bluetooth 4.0 was already in the 8.1 update.

Enterprise improvements

Windows Phone 8.1 adds support for VPN and Bluetooth 4.0 LE.[37]

With the release of Update 1, receiving or sending data through VPN when connecting to a Wi-Fi network and the Bluetooth PAN (Personal Area Network) 1.0 standard are also supported.

So you know for sure that it doesn't have BT LE?

OS: 8.10.14157.200 (no PfD)
Firmware: 2424.14.9.3
Hardware: 15.15.1.0

supports BT 4.0? 100% sure? Or maybe there's a way to check this? Store app? Desktop app? Want buy some fitness band but I'm little confused.

I've paired it to a Wahoo Tickr X too and successfully got heart rate in the runtastic pro app.

Minimum Samsung Firmware for Bluetooth LE to work seems to be 2424.14.9.3
And it works with build 8.10.14203.306 and 8.10.14219.341 (I haven't tested with a lower number version).
