in case you haven't check it out yet, youtube's mobile website now works with windows mobile standard, works great for me. No extra installs necessary.
...it *should* work on most WinMo phones, though some are lacking the necessary drivers.
I'm almost positive that getting Hulu working on Windows Mobile is going to be very difficult given the advanced Flash features they use...
Then perhaps the problem is that this discussion is in a Blackjack II thread. When I use my BJII I get, "Alert-Cannot play back the file. The format is not supported."
Bump. I still cannot play most youtube files on BJ II. When I want to play a youtube video clip the device brings up Windows Media Player and the file is not supported. I have a program called PocketTV which allows me to play MPEG's. Do I need to change a setting on Windows Media Player? Do I need to associate youtube files with another program such as PocketTV? How would I do this? What kind of files are played on m.youtube anyway?
vtap Beta is currently the "easiest" way to play youtube videos on your Smartphone... http://www.vtap.com/m.html
You can also try searching google using the phrase "Play youtube videos with TCPMP". You'll find links for a flash hack to allow TCPMP to play .flv files/links. TCPMP player is the best mobile media player around.
