Battery bar bug?

Hey all, I have a phone that won't stop showing charging on the battery bar after it's pulled from charger, wall or computer attached. The only way to hook up to Zune is plug in and turn the phone off, at which point it turns itself back on and connects to Zune. I can close Zune and "disconnect hardware" from computer and that resets the battery bar to "not charging". Then, randomly, the phone will light up with a tone and the battery bar will begin blinking again.???
Anybody else experiencing this problem?
