I unlocked my phone for Tmobile and was wondering if I hard reset it would I need the 8 digit network unlock code again? Anyone reset their unlocked phone before?

Yes, resetting an unlocked phone can lock it, in at least some cases. I bought a used, unlocked AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II (SGH-I777). Worked fine on T-Mobile for six months, until phone broke and was sent to Samsung for repair. The repair service does a factory reset. My previously-unlocked phone is now locked. Since I've never been an AT&T customer, and don't know who the original purchaser was, AT&T won't deal with me, even though the phone is not under any contract. (Their customer service person explained that they used to do this, but don't any more.)

re:

Hard reset will NOT simlock your phone again.

If above is true, they have sim locked the device again at service centre. This has nothing to do with hard reset.
