Problem With The Screen

So I got my replacement from Rogers today.... and it's broken. Parts of the screen don't work. When I tap on a "e" "x" "d" on portrait mode, it doesn't select them, it selects the letters beside them. There is a way around this by turning the phone on it's side but some menus don't allow the landscape keyboard.
Is there any way to fix this? Or this a hardware issue in which I need to get a new phone from Rogers?

Tech. support said something about calibrating the screen? But we got caught up working on another issue (every restart of the phone would erase/reset my phone, fixed now though). Any one know how to do this?

I'd get it replaced. There's no tool built into the OS for the consumer to calibrate the screen. But just out of curiosity, do those same spots on the screen cause problems when the phone is used in landscape?

Ughhh! I can't even login to Birdsong or Facebook! This is pure torture! It would probably be better if my phone didn't work completely, then I wouldn't be teased! :p
