Daniel asked about higher storage options and Elop shifted the subject to cloud storage. So that doesn't sound promising.

I think what really needs to happen is a strong and consistent customer push demanding more local storage.

On vacation, I have a T-Mobile signal 40% of the time here (and it's GPRS or weak Edge, no 3G anywhere) and the rest of the time I have WiFi like 50% of that time. Cloud Storage? Seriously? /laughs/

No.

They can't seriously be THAT clueless. I just can't bring myself to believe that, but they really seem to be trying to convince us...

And what about all of those with data caps? With these caps people can't be streaming music and downloading things from the cloud all the time.

iPhone is $100 per 16GB. Nand is Nand, so the price should be the same. I don't need it, but don't understand why Nokia would not offer a 32GB model for $100 more.

The cost may in actuallity be more than waht Apple and the carrier charge. And you would think that with nand memory there might be a way at least on non unibody phones of accessing the board and changing a 16 for a 32 or 64 and having some registry setting tweaked to enable the larger memory options.
