Gmail contacts sync problem

Hey all! I got a lumia 525 recently and have been using the stock gmail for checking mails. But today for the first time i tried to send a new email only to discover that my contacts' email ids have not been synced! My google contacts are showing in 'people' but their email ids are not available! Any idea how to sync properly? Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue on my 521 -- never been able to get the email addresses to sync. I recently updated to GDR3 and thought that might fix things but unfortunately it didn't. In sync settings for the account sync contacts is selected and the contacts server (CardDAV) is set to Google. Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I would like to be able to easily send email to contacts!
