No sir, I don't like it.

Too bright/distracting and on threads I don't want to read it is redundant to see that there are 1,247 unread posts of 1,247 posts.

If it would go away after using the "Mark This Forum as Read" function it would not be so bad...


​<edit> OK it did... You have to mark the forum read, then exit and when you reenter the forum it's gone away... It's going to take me quite some time to get used to this.

Blue might blend in like black though and not be as noticeable.

Not blue, though. Blue makes it look like a link. However, if it were changed to a link to allow you to visit the newest unread post from there, that would be full of awesome sauce. Not demanding it, but my first reaction to the non-black color was, "Hmm... I wonder if that is a link that will take me to those unread posts so I don't have to start at the "last post" or "first post" and scroll to find it.

Same sentiment here. Although Tapatalk takes me directly to the first unread post and that works fine for me.
