Comments section on windows central

I would be thrilled if people didn't comment unless they actually had something to say. Sometimes you have to scroll for 5 minutes just to find a relevant comment.

Couldn't agree more.
I like the info on the front blog and have harvested some great tips from users up there.
Quite a bit of it sadly is off-topic smack and irrelevant complaining.

Such is "us" however...some humans vent-some humans have a point.

I think a good solution would be to have the comments section link to the story in the windowscentral forums. I've been to several sites that will show comments in the comments section below the article, but when you want to post you're taken to the corresponding forum thread.

I think when people have to login to the forums they will be less likely to just post troll comments. I don't know what it is about comment threads but people seem more comfortable posting nonsense.

Plus the comments section gets horribly disorganized after 100+ people post.
