Skype Desktop app on a tablet - What about standby?

Hi,

when the modern Skype app is retired and until we get the messaging in W10 app we have to use the Skype desktop app even on a tablet.

But how does this work with (connected) standby? AFAIK the desktop app won't be able to receive any messages or calls as long as the tablet is not fully active.

Is this right or am I missing something?

Bye,
Christian

Quite possibly. MS is depreciating touch devices with Windows 10 and connected standby is pretty much a tablet feature.

Worry not, MS will have to go back to a touch first approach eventually. This move is to bring non-touch users along and can only be temporary. Until then, it is best to switch to third party alternatives. Third party companies don't have to cope with the legacy device drag factor that MS are dealing with.
