Why won't Skype open on my Lumia 520?

Skype won't open on my Lumia 520

Recently, Skype for my Lumia 520 has stopped working. All I see is Skype's blue screen, but it wont get past that point. I need to make Skype calls but I cannot. Can anyone please help. Thanks.

reinstall the app. If that doesnt solve your problem then do a soft reset.
