1520: Directional Recording New Improved Audio Recording

I don't get it, why can't the 9xx and 10xx do the same audio recording? They have 3 HAAC microphones and Amber brought Stereo Recording to the 9xx/10xx. Whatever this is, (if it's really any different) should be easily ported to the 9xx/10xx series

According to the article, they're different types of microphones. HAAC (High Amplitude Audio Capture) just means that they can capture loud sounds without clipping and is entirely irrelevant to this.

However, every microphone has a pattern in which it records. Some are omni-directional and record in all directions, and others are directional and record only out the 'front' (or many other patterns that you can see more about here: Microphone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ). The 1020 uses omni-directional mics, and the 1520 uses directional mics. It's a hardware difference.
