3rd Party ChromeCast App???

I just got my Chromecast yesterday and was wondering if there are any Chromecast apps available or any in development for WP8? It would be nice if we can get a Aircast app for WP8. Or yet get the Nokia Play app to work with Chromecast.

If not maybe we can setup a bounty to get one created. I would definitely pay a couple bucks for an app that would stream my Lumia 1020 to Chromecast.

Considering google's lack of cooperation with anything Windows Phone, I wouldn't get my hopes up too much.

I agree, but... At least with the Windows Phone ecosystem it is easy to connect the WP to the computer, drag the video or audio files quickly to the computer, and then play the same files on the computer or tv via hdmi, if you want to do so. I have a ChromeCast, an Apple TV, and a Roku box, all of which I seldom use because I prefer the video and audio on my 27" monitor and the $100 usb speaker bar from Logitech. The only significant advantage of the three wireless connections above, as far as I can tell, is that they eliminate the trouble of moving one hdmi cable from the computer to the tv. In place of this convenience, you have to log into your home wireless network, adjust the input setting on the tv, and cope with the sharing protocols of ChromeCast, Apple TV, and Roku, each of which is different. You can also control the playback on the tv from your iPhone or Google tablet, but I can do that already with my Surface Pro tablet, although I usually use the SP as an UltraBook actually. Just clarifying things in my own mind.

@STMAV That's why I mentioned 3rd party in the title. I'm sure Google is not going to give us anything. I'm just hoping some 3rd party developers will give us some love.

@jeffskent I too have my computer connected to my TV and is the way I prefer as well but the wife and children do not know how to work it. Having dual TV setup, dual audio and HT Receiver setup is a bit too complicated for them. I showed my wife how to work the Chromecast with her nexus 7 and picked it up in two minutes. Start Netflix, hit the button to share on TV and that's it. Very simple. I just wish we can do the same with our WP mobiles.
