I had a Lumia 1520. Its camera is broken and send it to the local device service. After that, with no communication and notification, they have replaced my 1520 with 830.

1520 vs 830 comparison is here: Nokia Lumia 830 vs. Nokia Lumia 1520 - GSMArena.com

Do you think that these devices has same features? Did you ever think that what happens if my device is broken? Think twice. Because, they did me a big surprise. And no one didn't help me at service center, including local MS station in my country.

Tweet it, some have gotten favorable responses others not so much your mileage will vary.

If you are so inclined you could follow the official complaint channels with Microsoft and see where you get through that way.

That's absolutely unusual they missed customer contacts, never seen before
They could not replace with a 950, due to phone age they could give owner the new 650 option

Warranty by a service provider. They never helped me, never sharing any information, contact information to talk about with etc. I contacted with Microsoft Turkey, but they said that: "there is nothing we can do, contact with abroad service".

I contacted with @LumiaHelp via twitter, they are requesting some information about this issue from me. I will keep you informed after finishing conversation with them.

I swear I saw the same thing a while back. Another forum post, but they sent the guy a Lumia 950 XL. I wish I could find it.

I bought it from a Turkcell Store.

You can follow all the conversations with @LumiaHelp on this link: https://twitter.com/kadir_esen/status/717328864591159296

In my country, Microsoft is not providing warranty directly to their device, there is no Microsoft Store in Turkey. Warranty provider is Teleservice: teleservice: Ana Sayfa

What can I do?

You are completely right, carriers take warranty of their products, the same in all Europe, and too often they blame customers.
Are there some customer association?

Excuse me, but why is the blade on Microsoft?

I'm pretty sure consumer law should protect you from that sort of thing. Your faulty device was replaced with inferior device. Pushing MS in this case won't help, since teleservice is the local representative of MS when it comes to warranty claims. Same thing here, MS warranty service is run by outside company, Regeneris and any warranty claims are carried by Regeneris. Only recently they changed their practice and now Regenris is only responsible for accepting warranty claims, any repair service is handled in Microsoft's EU service center in Hungary.

You have to fight your battle with teleservice. You have your papers, you have your warranty claim. Good luck.

Sorry, OP. This is messed up. Microsoft can't do anything about it because they had nothing to do with it.

This is why i'll always buy a warranty from Microsoft rather than from a carrier.

In this case the fault is squarely on Turkcell, you will need to lodge a complaint via them and refer them to what steps you have taken to resolve this in amicable manner.

Here, let me replace that Lexus with a Corolla. Quite a downgrade and not at all right.

You need to get a 1520 back or 950XL.
