Hi All, My name is Gerardo, I'm an electronic enginner for the automotive industry.

After one of the Cellular companies here decided to offer the lumia 820 and 920 for free in very cheap 2 yr contracts (they are giving them away!)... I got the two of them. 920 for me and 820 for the wife. In both cases they're just an insanely amount of hardware for the Price I'm paying! ... and I couldn't be happier. These phones rock!! ... I even got to keep my iTunes library and sync it to the lumias (not and iTunes lover, just very accustomed to it). User interface is incredible, the hardware is very responsive and the displays are amazing (The 920 even more, of course!). I found the windows App store to be very mature and lots of titles available.. hey, I installed instagram on day one ;-) hehehe and office integration is very well done.

I bought the 920 in matte black and it's the most slick and elegant pone I've seen. I don't think I'll ever put it in a cover, it just seem so well built and resistant. and the 820 is also pretty slick for a m?dium range pone. I added 16 GB to the L820 so there is plenty of space for music and photos now!

I know I am one year late to the L920 party, but still all I have to say is WOW!

just two words: "FIFA 2013" ... best game ever!

ok.. will be posting furher impressions later

Congrats on the purchases. I just picked up a 920 myself through a trade, and I couldn't be happier. Definitely some amazing devices

Nice choice ;) The L920 rocks!! I got mine one month ago cause I couldn't afford it before!! IT IS AN AWESOME PHONE and WP8 makes it even better!

Great to see you here, GerOrBa, not such a fan of Fifa myself but hopefully we can debate and learn more from each other around the forums!

Thank you all, so far is smooth sailing. I come from a low end Android (Samsung Galaxy Y), that was gifted to me and used pre-pay. It had very Little internal memory, and Android Gingerbread. I mainly used the Google map services (which are very good even in very limited hardware) and Facebook. no music, no photos (very lowly camera). I lost that device and my iPod touch (which I loved). Both devices were due for an update and I was forced to do it, thankfully, I guess, but I didn't like giving away my iPod Touch :crying:

The Nokia devices are excellent, and it seems that I will not really miss google maps (I'll tell you later how that goes) due to Nokia HERE apps. I do find the gaming aspect of WP8 to be the more lacking comapred to iOS and Android. Not much variety. My wife discovered Candy crush about a month ago, but we still have an iPad 2 since she ussually only plays at night before sleep.

no negative experiences yet with the L920 or the L820 yet, but there was a couple of struggles which I'll detail in a post in the L920 f?rum. I'll post a link to that if you are intrested to know.

again, thanks everyone here!!!... your help was invaluable for the unboxing and setup of the Phones since I've been lurking here and doing the research!

if you end up missing google maps for whatever reason, there are some good third party apps that work quite well imo
