If one hasn't gotten a switch yet, I would recommend it above mobile windows platform.
I feel most steam deck owners are PC owners, so there's probably a larger catalog of Nintendo only games that come with their consoles. I have historically only bought my Nintendo consoles to play Zelda tbh. The only purchase I might consider is a pocket emulation machine. I have a switch, which got me through my unemployed phase, but now it collects dust. It still got lots of future hours awaiting me with plenty of games I have yet to play... And there are only so many hours in a day.
