640 Audio equalizer

Can anyone confirm for me that the Lumia 640 (standard - not XL) has the Audio Equalizer in the Audio options please.

Yes it does - equaliser with a bunch of presets, and enhancements such as "Flip face down to silence ringer"

Wow, I didn't realize that not all Lumia have same equalizer setting. My 620 equalizers band/frequency is 50, 150, 350, 700, 1800, 3500, 7000. Since when did this happen?

My 730 has same frequency sliders as shown in 640 screenshot.

I dont know if it was before, but now i see different equalizer options for headphones and speaker (i didnt have both on my L620, equalizer would only work with headphones plugged in). Was it a the 620 that didnt have the options for speaker EQ? Or did they add it in update 2?

Whatever happened to the option to keep audio volume around the same level for all media (aka volume normalization)? I loved that feature, but now I can't find it anymore in the (Lumia) audio settings...

You can use Audio Equalizer Apps. I have been using EqualizerPro software on my windows 8 and it works good. It is mainly for PC. I am not sure do they have any app for Lumia or not. You can search.
