64bit Windows Phone?

Does anyone know if Microsoft is planning to introduce 64bit Windows Phone next year?

But iPhones does not even have 3GB of ram and run on 64bit processor and OS.

I'm sure it has been debated a lot, but I personally just see it as getting stuff ready for when it does happen, and just being able to market such a thing. (ooohhhh 64! its better! faster! 200x!)

I know what you mean and don't get me wrong, I know it will not make any faster than 32bit processors. But they are more stable and more secure in terms of virus or hacking. That's how I see it to work. Maybe a gimmick but is also future proof as well.

Eventually they will! Next year? I'm not completely sure but it makes sense because Windows RT and Windows Phone will become the same thing they *might* do it. But I wouldn't hold my breath for it

Since Snapdragon 808 and 810 processors are launching the next year it is very likely you will see a 64 bit device somewhere after the middle of the year.

As far as the iPhone 5S goes, 64 bit has made the 5S subject to crashes in certain apps and by the time 64 bit apps become common the iPhone 5S's hardware will have become very outdated.

So chill, 32 bit is more than okay for mobile right now.
