hello newbie here i have had a lumia 710 since may. I think they are wonderful phones it last's a day or just about, when i first got it the phone lasted a day and a half

im looking to get the 800 in Christmas sales , the comparison websites say that the 800 is better on battery life than the 710 is this true .?

All depends and what you do on your phone.

Although I have a 800, you might be better saving your money and getting a WP8 device rather than just getting a Lumia 800, the only difference to what you have now, is more storage, better camera and a different type of screen.

I agree, save your money and put it towards a WP8 device. It's not worth spending the money for a minor upgrade with an obsolete OS.
