8.1 update2

The update 2 was a mistake and got removed from the update servers after a couple of hours. I see people that regret updating it because it breaks some things like notifications and phone rings.

For most handsets, it's only a preparation for installing Windows 10 through Windows Insider.

I missed out. Tried everything and couldn't get it. My wife easily got it for her 1320 though and loves it.

I have also updated, and to me it seems the phone is a bit snappier, the battery life is slightly better, also have the new settings look.

Update 2 that was bundled with W10 TP few days back had propagated the same bugs related to notification sound and ringtones in W10 build on my phone. Anyways, back to 8.1 now ;-)

I got the Update 2 with new settings, pin settings to start and new app permissions but no "double tap to lock" on navigation bar. Anyone with a 930 get this feature?

This feature is currently available for phones having onscreen Navigation bar. 930 has capcitive navigation keys.

Managed to snag the update too, can't think of anything no working correctly - happy here! All i've done is add data to my hotkeys at the top of notifications.

I installed it and everything seemed fine. But it makes the screen work badly. You can discover that looking at characters in bing news or facebook from browser: some lines will be a bit blurry or a little cutted...

Can you take a screenshot? I doubt, that the update directly affects the display drivers. At least I don't think that they are supposed to do that!

Try a hard reset.

Already tried the reset, it was uneffective... But i found the defect be in line with the scaling problems they talked about...
