830 & BMW integrated controls?

[Fair Warning]

I can connect by aux, but have no control from the deck or steering wheel.

If I connect by USB I get nothing.

When I had an icrap I needed an integrated cable for aux plus USB but I've read of people with this working here with just USB. Car firmware is current (2008 135 - North American model).

Any help or suggestions? Aux alone is annoying!

Why don't you stream via Bluetooth? Then you can use the steering wheel controls etc. to skip tracks tec.

Would love to :\ Pre-2010 bimmers only have Bluetooth phone, no streaming audio!

If you connect an ipod to the USB, can you play music and control it? If so, look into something like this Bluetooth receiver. I have a similar setup in my Audi and it allows me to play music and control using deck and steering wheel buttons.
