8X bricked with latest update

My HTC 8X was bricked by the latest update from Canadian Rogers. Now there is a sad face on my phone and nothing I can do with it. Anyone else had the same problem?

Hi,

Did you try an hard/factory reset? If not try this:

1. Turn the power off.
2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button. Release the VOLUME DOWN button when you see an icon on the screen.
3. Then press the following hardware buttons in this sequence: VOLUME UP > VOLUME DOWN > POWER > VOLUME DOWN.
