950XL screen brightness and grey vs white

Anyone notice that on the 950 and 950XL, the screen gets nowhere near as bright as other smartphones. And whites are not actually white; they're more grayish. I really notice this when I compare the same photo (instagram) on two different phones. It's kind of annoying that I never know what a picture is really gonna look like on other phones.

Nope, the screen is very bright and white is really white with forced maximum brightness, calibrated color, a test specific image and without the modified gradient from the sunlight enhancement, in normal conditions is not pure white but that's normal on how AMOLED screens work due to battery savings and other things.

The display is marvelous.
