About one drive

Hey I am getting an error in backing up "we can't cannot to one drive to backup .Update your phone and try again".Let me tell you that my phone is up to date and i have updated my microsoft account .Please help me to resolve my problem

Obvious question but always a good first step in troubleshooting anything: Have you restarted the phone?

Also more details would help:
What version of Windows Phone are you using?
What model of phone?
Can you access OneDrive by alternative means?

If your phone is on 8.1 the backup service support ended last year
