About the volume control, disabling ringersound and alarm...

Okay, the thing is I know that everyone hates the fact that media volume is linked to ringer volume and the notification volume and so on.

Since I never use a ringtone, I'd like to disable my ringtone at all. Is this possible? So that regardless of the volume of my phone, it will always only vibrate and never play a tone.

And finally, is the alarm volume also linked to the system volume?

Set an alarm for 15 min from your time, turn volume off and see if it still rings.

For ringer OFF open settings > ringtones + sounds and turn RINGER- OFF
and if you don't want any sounds at all under each heading -ie. Next text or IM > none -it's all the way at the top.
And Play sound for, uncheck the boxes.
Have you never opened ringtones + sounds ?
