Activate Windows file lost during upgrade to Win 10 - How do I obtain activation code?

I need to modify BIOS ( activate VT-x ) but I can't access. Also constant clanging nag and other problems.

You might need to call the ms support team as am having the same problem despite re-entering the product code I originally purchased, it ask to use a different one.

I updated if that resolved the problem.....

Sorry it took a while to update, Microsoft gave me a new activation code although it was for window 8 without the media centre code rather than 8.1 + media centre version but a simple reinstallation of window 8 with new activation code which got me going, I didn’t loose any old files or program and as I had the old activation code for 8.1 it was quit simple to update back with window 8.1 including the media centre version.
Hope it help someone with similar experience.
