Ok, MS is putting some funnier ads out there. They are however, not really showcasing the full abilities of WP. The things they are showing, while funny and engaging are, pretty generic for a smartphone.
I think they should have an ad like this:
Scene opens with 2 roomies playing MW3 or BF3 or some manly shooter on their Xbox.
They're talking smack to each other...
"Frag'd you AGAIN! Umm... we can play the computer if you need it to be easier."
"Frag THIS! As the 2nd roomie snipes 1st roomie through a window."
They're going at it hot and heavy when all of a sudden a particular mushy scene comes up on the TV from a chick flick like The Notebook.
Both guys are stunned into silence. They just kinda look at each other dumbfounded... You can read "What the..." on their lips...
Cut to the kitchen where 3rd roomie is looking for his class notebook and out of frustration is talking to his WP and telling it to "Find notebook". Then you hear roomie #1 and #2 yelling at #3.
Narrator then simply states how with your WP, you can search for all kinds of things on the phone and have it come up on the TV through the Xbox. All integrated. Sometimes, it might not be a good thing...
What do you think?
What kinds of commercials do you think they should come up with that demonstrates how WP is different from other phones on the market?
(If anyone from MS marketing is actually reading this, you're more than welcome to use this! If it helps people get interested in WP, then I'm all for it!
