I need to add ads to my free app versions, but I am not sure which service to choose. If possible, could you state which one you think is better and why?

If I understand correctly Adsense gives you money for your ads while Adduplex puts your app in ads in other apps. So it depends on if you want some money or more ads for your app

How about the best of both worlds? Use AdRotator and set your ads with an xml file on your server, and be able to set a percentage of the apps from one service, and others from other services. And yes, as DBDev said, AdDuplex isn't for monetization - it is for spreading the word of your app. You serve up ads for other apps, other apps serve up ads for your app. I use 80% PubCenter ads (Microsoft's ad network), and 20% AdDuplex ads in my apps.

thank for you replies, however I should have made it more clear.
I know that AdSense is for monetization and Adduplex is to advertise my apps, but in the end I want the final result ($$$ ;) ). If any of you have any experience which will result in higher revenue. like people buying my paid apps are increasing due to adduplex marketing or money earned from adsense.

thank you hopmedic I will check out Adrotator and of course thanks DBDev.

Here's a blog by Farseer Games, maker of Krashlander. He talks about his numbers as paid with trial and free with ads. This blog is a couple years old, but it still has good information. I'm sure if you search, you'll find other articles like it.

I just going to use PubCenter for my ads which I got all sorted out going to add it for my game I'm making.

I used AdSense for awhile, and it was terrible. I made virtually nothing. PubCenter is unreliable - I'll have months where my eCPM goes through the roof, and months where it plummets. Also, frequently enough PubCenter just won't display an ad for whatever reason.

I built a custom AdRotator-like tool that just provides fallback opportunity - you can specify a rotation if you'd like, but the mode I use is to go PubCenter, unless it fails to deliver an ad, ad which time it goes to a fallback, which can be AdSense or AdDuplex, and if that fails, it falls back to the 3rd (if specified). It's simple and works well enough for my purposes.

Ive also used adrotator in my app, I found the doco wasn't fantastic but the tool works great. The benefit is that you can sign up to any provider, and provided you have their sdk deployed with your app you can change which ad companies you use whenever. So you can deploy with a few, find out what makes you more money and then use mainly that. Best part is you can change it by region.

Have you considered using AdRotator? Using the rotator (or rolling one yourself) could be very useful. You can then manage whoever your ad provider is for a given moment, and experiment dynamically:

Windows Phone – Getting Started - AdRotator - The AdRotating solution for your apps & games

You can then sign up for all those ad providers, and customize a web settings file, swapping between ad providers as you need. Experiment for and find something that brings in the best, or even just do one. At least you'll still have theoption to use something else after setting it all up.

And yep, I'm aware this has been mentioned above this, but it's that worth it. :D

Hey guys,
I like to add some more questions to this thread..

I've applied to adduplex deirect a while ago, but no response from them. Have any of you using/used adduplex direct? How is it?

I am already using addplex on my app and getting 14k impressions per day (it is increasing day by day). If I use some other ad network, how much money I can make?, Is it possible to make some decent money from 14k impressions at all?

Before using adduplex, I have used pubcenter, it was terrible, low ad fill rate, very low eCPM (at least for Indian developers). I made nothing form it. So switched to adduplex. But it was six months back, now my app is popular than earlier, more people are using it. So should I consider using pubcenter again?

and I like to know about adsense as well...

I don't think you can use Adsense for mobile apps, maybe you mean AdMob. Currently, I'm using AdMob since pubcenter is not yet available for my country. But would love to try it when it's available.

Best way really to find out is to try what's best suited for you. I'm new to admob so I can't tell much and my app doesn't have that much download yet so data at this point is not yet reliable. But I've been using adnsense for my sites and it's giving me decent income. Sometimes where your audience is from also matters. I haven't tried adduplex so I can't say much about it.

You should always use AdDuplex as your fallback as most mobile ad providers don't give you 100% fill rate.

The choice between the other ad networks really depends on revenue, which is why the AdRotator was suggested (which combined with a server hosted config file allows you to give more impressions to the networks that bring in more money and lets you change that without releasing an update)

I'm only using Adduplex currently.
I've tried Admob from google, but their control for WP has a huge memory leak that made my app crash in lower memory phones, I had to take it down. I haven't even tried pubcenter because people said that it doesn't serve ads really well.

What do you think, should I try pubcenter? I'd really like to make a little money from ads since only a few people are paying for the version without ads.

I just integrated admob to my app and tested, there's no problem in my phones ( even on lumia 520). So could you tell me when did you try admob?
