Hello, I was wandering what should I watch out for if I buy a used 925 for example I've heard something about problematic power button. Also is there a way to check the quality of the battery while I test my possible purchase. Last but not least is 80? a good price?

Considering the age of the 925 it will have to be buyer beware.

Mine is still going strong after 3 and a half years.
Then again I'm not very hard on phones.

Who were you looking to buy from?

I do not no have someone in mind its just that I see this phone be sold often and I'd like to know what to check if I decide to go for it.

Few things to keep in mind:

1. age
2. you'll have to upgrade it to w10m via the insider route, but you'll be stuck with TH1 update
3. you're buying used so lifetime could be seriously reduced
4. apps, but if you already own a windows phone, this isn't news

Moving the phone unto the latest w10m builds (TH2) is possible but it will require some work and technical knowledge from your end. Also patience... lots of it.....

Another aspect to keep in mind is the hit or miss nature of w10. Some report stellar performance and others not so much, so the mileage varies by a somewhat large margin.

I was actually planning to keep it on 8.1. Thanks for the advise.
That would work too. I have a friend that still has 8.1 on her device and is happy, but she uses the phone for texting/calling and music so not very demanding

My 925 just did not do well with 10. I rolled back to 8.1 and was still happy with it. After about three years of mild use it was starting to act a bit tired, so I purchased a 1520 from the WinCentral Marketplace and retired my tired 925.

Bought almost a year ago used 925 as a replacement phone. Had problems with power button. Battery life on that one is really good. I dont know if it is normal or whatever with that phone, camera quality on mine is really blurry even if you cleaned that glass covering lens. Front one is good

You can relatively easy hack W10M RS2 onto L925. My L820 is running it like a champ

I enjoy my 925.4 which I got second hand just recently, and even more so now the virtual memory was increased to 1gb making it run fast.

I am using my 925 as a daily driver. I like the OLED screen, but the battery life has to be carefully managed,

I have put W10M on it and it runs well.

But I think 80 is probably high at this stage of the game. 50 is probably a more accurate price for a phone like this which cannot support an SD card.
