After amber update Wifi disconnects after screen is locked

Hi,

My Lumia 920 wi-fi disconnects once the screen is locked (when I press the power button) and reconnects when I again unlock the screen (when I press the power button and swipe up).
I think the same issue was there before GDR1 also.

Anyone else facing the same issue? I am operating this phone in India. The amber update recently came in..

Is there any solution?

In advanced Wi-Fi settings tick the box that says 'Keep Wi-Fi on when the screen times out'.

ohh yea.. i completely forgot that setting.. thanks alot buddy..

but the point to note here in updating to amber resets that setting..

No, it does not. My AT&T HTC 8X kept the setting. Are you updating from OTA or flash the firmware yourself? The later requires full device reset which will put all settings back to default.
