AIDA64 Sensor Data?

Hi All

I have a new 950 XL that is having some problems, so I installed AIDA to get the sensor info.

With the phone sitting on the table, the data from the accelerometer, altimeter, compass, gyroscope, inclinometer and magnetometer is constantly jumping around. I can't even read the gyroscope numbers because they're changing so rapidly.

Is this normal for the sensor data, or do I have a flakey phone?

Update to this, I installed AIDA64 on my 640 XL, and the sensors show a similar, constant variance, so I'm assuming this is normal.

What issues are you experiencing? Unless the phone is randomly changing orientation, screen brightness, the Glance Screen is erratic, or your phone has huge troubles tracking your location, I don't believe this is an issue at all. Sensor information is hard to analyze unless you know exactly what you're looking for.

Thanks for the reply!

The phone was doing a lot of weird things, and I was merely browsing the AIDA64 info and noticed the values changing quite a lot. I wouldn't expect those values to be changing very much while the phone was laying flat on a table, but I guess they do.

I now have the issue nailed down to an obscure product code (059W5J1) for the phone (it's supposedly a new 950 XL dual sim), that is preventing the firmware from updating.

I can't even use WDRT to flash it, because it can't find the right package to install for the product code.

I currently have a post going on the MS forums regarding this issue now.

That's an absurd issue to have. I wonder how that could've started.

I have to wonder if this was a prototype phone, or a one-off variant meant to be used for testing.

I have another post on this forum and someone replied with some good info, but still doesn't help me unfortunately.

I get that issue with my Lumia 1520 as well. On top of that, my compass points randomly in different directions too. I still get accurate location and everything though.
