I went and read the specs for the 950 XL again. One thing I did not notice before is that it says "Dual Nano SIM" under the connectivity section. If I am reading that right, that means, that what MS is selling, are all dual sim. I am sure everyone already knew this, are that is something completely different.

Yes. Nano SIM is the new standard. The unlocked XL (and presumably 950) have two nano SIM slots, as I understand. I like it. Makes it easier to move your SIM to and from other phones without the need for a little fiddly adapter. Hopefully in a year or so, all phones will be nano (if we haven't moved to SIM free tech by then).

I changed the title, I had left out the word "Dual", even though I had it in the body of my message.

I spoke with a Microsoft Salesperson and they told me they wouldn't be selling the dual-sim version in the US, online or in store.

I haven't received mine yet (on the truck for delivery today) so I can't confirm, but I see no reason it wouldn't be a dual sim phone. The specs page for the product itself indicates it's a dual sim phone:

Looking forward to all the threads about AT&T's visual voicemail, as the people who bought the dual-sim 640XL seemed not to be able to get it to work.

Oh that's great!! I have a dual-sim Win HD right now and was kind of bummed at the thought of needing to carry two phones.

In a year or so there will be no SIM cards. In its place, a needle to take a drop of blood like a blood sugar meter.

I have had 3 dual sim Lumias and none of them had VVM. I think it is a dual sim thing. I keep a separate dual sim phone for international travel. I hope they find a way to have a dual sim phone behave like a single sim and remove the extra icon up top.
