Hi all,

I am new to the Windows platform so I thought I would ask a question. I was recently assigned and new Windows 7 phone(HTC Trophy) by my company. I use my device mainly for email. It seems that WP7 only supports numberic passwords and my company's security policy requires both letter and numbers. Are there any other email clients I can use similar to touchdown or K9?

Thanks!

There are not. The next OS update in Fall (Mango) is bringing alpha-numeric password ability, so your IT department may have to be ok with numeric, or assign a different phone until then.

Thank you for the quick answer.

I use alpha and numeric and punctuation in my password on the regular client - using Exchange. Perhaps this is a policy decision by IT at your company?

He is talking about the password to lock the phone. So if his phone is lost or stolen, somebody can not read his email crazy easy.

Well if his phone is lost or stolen it can easily be locked and wiped and located just from 1 website.

If it is stolen, or lost and found by somebody who wishes to keep it; removal of the SIM card nullifies those two options.
