Amazon UK cancelled my order to Germany

I had my order on Amazon Uk for a while and watched as the band came in stock and out of stock a couple of times over last days and wondered why my order did not ship, now i just received the following email advising my order was cancelled!

Very strange as it states it can ship to Germany and other's here have had theirs shipped from Amazon UK to Germany.
I will try again with standard shipping instead of 1 day express and see if that makes a difference.

Anyone else had problems?

Unfortunately, due to delivery restrictions on such items, we won?t be able to send you B00UOUFMP4 Microsoft Band Medium and have cancelled it from your order . This is because this item contains flammable, pressurised, corrosive, environmentally hazardous or otherwise harmful substances classified as dangerous goods under the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Air.

Although the amount of these substances in these products is usually quite limited, these products need to be transported in a certain way to ensure that they are handled with care and are therefore assigned to a specialist carrier. Unfortunately this means that we can?t dispatch it to any destination outside of mainland UK.

Sounds like a long winded excuse. Amazon will have an agreement with Microsoft that they will only ship to countries the band has been officially launched in. If Amazon were to ignore this, Microsoft would probably stop supply Amazon with the Band - something Amazon would not want to happen.

Oooh, since placing a new order with the standard 2-3 standard delivery instead 1 day express it is now "preparing for dispatch".
Strange that it would let you choose express if the carrier can't take such things, especially when you consider how many electronic devices amazon ship!!

Why should Microsoft do that? The Microsoft store sends the Band without problems to Germany...

i got my band from germany, i dont know what exactly is the problem of amazon but it has nothing to do with shipping in UK only.

This is just plain nonsense, I pre ordered my band from the UK store and the 14th it was transported from the UK to the central UPS hub in Germany and from there to Dublin.. all overnight and by air.

Perhaps you missed the fact the shipping was cancelled by Amazon. Microsoft does not control Amazon shipping,,,,

That's strange. I ordered mine at amazon UK, too and it arrived in Germany last Saturday. Do you have any new informations about your second attempt? I hope it works and you'll have your band soon.

Got mine from Amazon UK. Shipping to germany on April 14th, arrival on the 16th.

I ordered mine through UK Microsoft Store shipped to the Netherlands. I received it next day.
