Wind Italy Carrier has posted on Twitter, saying it will release Amber in november, for example. Same other carriers in other countries.

Finally, I am in the process of downloading Amber, I just checked for updates 5 mins ago and it told me there was one available. It still says on the nokia Europe page 'coming soon' . Try a manual check, you might get lucky!!

(Update, I downloaded the update, however it was not amber. I checked after it had finished. I tried phone update again and again it told me there was an update, this time I downloaded it and I have successfully installed Amber. you may have to install 2 updates, just to let you know not to panic)
