Amber Update: save to turn on "connect with xbox music" for missing info?

Hi everyone!
After waiting so long (switzerland) I finally got the amber update for my lumia 720.
Loving everything about it so far, now I'm curious about something:
A while back they reported that duplication and overwriting of existing metadata has been fixed in this update. Is it save then, to turn on "connect to Xbox Music" in order to get missing album art, artist background, etc?
Really tentative about turning it on, as the last few times it resulted in me hard-resetting my phone to get rid of all the duplicates it created..

I don't have a L720 but the only issue I experienced was loosing some of my album art for streamed music. Of course as soon as I played one of the tracks the artwork was reupdated. No issues with dupes.

I'm still looking for more opinions on this.
To clarify: I only have music on the SD card, nothing in the cloud. Back before amver, I used to get duplicates or even triplicates of songs (w/ xbox music turned on), which were only removable by hard reset.
