Amber update

Is it necessary to have a firmware version ending with .0002 instead of.0001 to get an amber update?



i mean some people are posting about firmware no like 1030.6407.1308.0001 wont get update and same ending with .0002 has got the update ,, mine is ending with 0001 and update page says its available but my phone says up to date

Here is the thing me and my girlfriend bought our 620 from same carrier which is digicel and we are in Jamaica. When I turn on my phone I do not get the splash screen with carrier name and logo but it comes up on my girlfriend's own. My girlfriend's firmware is 004 mine is 002. On the support page they say the firmware is 004. I checked for an update last night and there was one I updated my 620 and there were no changes on my phone. At that time it was saying coming soon, now it is saying available today October 03 2013 and I am not getting any update. Please give me some help and answer.

Thing is anyone who already had 0002 firmware (the later 620s) already got the update right from the first week that amber was officially available in India for 620. Also anyone who flashed their phone using nsu and upgraded from 0001 to 0002 also got the amber via ota. All of us with the 0001 firmware still havent recieved the update even after 40 days of the amber being shown available for 620s in India...

It have to update. I am in Jamaica the firmware for my carrier digicel is 0004 and my l620 was 0002 my girlfriend's own is 0004 we both updated our phones she got the features and I did not. One I update my device to 0004 using NSU I got all features. One more thing is that my L620 did not start up with carrier splash screen but my gf own did after I updated my L620 to 0004 it started showing it. You have to update
