Android photos on my SD card

The android photos on my SD card are not displayed in the Microsoft photos app om my Lumia950. All other images such as WhatsApp and other folder photos are displayed. These pictures are in the DCIM folder. Is there a way to force the photos app on Lumia 950 to show these pictures?

Have you uploaded your photos from your Android device to OneDrive using the OneDrive app for Android?

The default pic app will show only the pictures that are inside the file "Pictures" move the dcim file in there

Yeah, you can upload them from OneDrive and it will be linked to the OneDrive app on your Microsoft phone. After that's done, what you do is download them from the OneDrive app on your Microsoft phone, and it should appear in the Photos app.
