Well if you go to the Nvidia control panel you can select what graphics card to use with that app. If it doesn't allow you to switch there is some kind of issus with using Nvidia.
That is exactly the problem.
Chrome, Cortana, Fresh Paint and others give me the choice of Nvidia or Intel Graphics. Fresh Paint for Pete's sake.
VLC, Media Player Classic HD, Windows Media Player and Windows Photo Viewer among others do NOT give me a choice - it's Intel only - which is ridiculous since these are the apps that would benefit the most from Nvidia graphics.
My SB sounds like it's dying if I try to play a movie, the fans crank up all the way and don't stop until I kill the program.
I did not have these problems before. I travel a lot and always have my SB for work and for watching movies. I also do a lot of photography and not being able to browse my pictures is a huge pain in the butt.
I'm thinking of doing a factory reset and staying away from any updates.
