I haven't heard anything about apps getting pulled due to having viruses in them. I wouldn't worry about it right now.

What about web-based malware/virus? Don't you surf the web on your phone? I do..

Common sense tells me that app have to pass inspection/aproval upon being submitted in order to be released to the masses.

There were a few for Windows Mobile phones so they may eventually trickle into the marketplace.

Not sure about web based viruses. Aren't you rather limited on what you can download. It's not like you can download an app through the browser. Can you attach a virus to a .jpg file?

That type of security might already be built in the browser.
