Any good messenger apps or voice notes for WP?

I'm trading my Blackberry bold 9900 for a Nokia Lumia 710.

My best friend an i communicate religiously through BBM sending voice notes.

Can this be done with a WP?

We are an ex-BBM group, tried many cross platform messenger apps and finally settled on GroupMe.

Edit, not sure about voice notes though.

A while back an Android user was looking for a WP application similar to Voxer on Android, and there is one, but I can't remember the name of it. It did have voice messaging.

For the voice notes app, TalkBox should do the trick. BBM = GroupMe

there's also a app calls wechat that's similar to voxer and also on android and iphone
