Any performance improvements brought by WP 8.1 ?

Should we expect any substantial improvements besides the known changed and speeden up animations?

The back button does no longer stop apps but suspending them. This can be called a performance improvement. Otherwise we have to wait for the dev release

Dynamic Memory Estimation
The system estimates the amount of ram an app uses to allow more apps to stay in memory so they resume faster. The speakers comment: "My 630 in Windows Phone 8.1 feels more like a 920 in Windows Phone 8"

Back button closes windows phone 8 buttons on back for compatibility. it does not for new 8.1 apps.

But the 630 is far more powerful in hardware than the 920..am I wrong?

The 630 has 512mb ram and the 920 has 1gb. So if the 630 would run winphone 8 it would move apps out of the ram all the time so app resumes would be slow (like they are on the 520 today). And the app resumes are now as fast as the 920 which does not have to move apps out of memory that ofden

i hope my L720 handles apps with less resuming time..i was searching youtube for hands on video of 630 for multitasking performance..but i found nothing...ffingers crossed for wp8.1

Oh i didn't Know 630 would be 512mb...I don't see the point of producing new quadcore devices with less than 1gb ram (considering that the lumia 525 has it). The new generation should start from 1gb to give all people the opportunity to run all apps
