Any suggestions:Windows Laptops that have quad HD screens with only Intel graphics AND 16 GB of RAM?

I am looking for a potential replacement laptop. I run a lot of VMs and other programs and would like an upgrade from my current system's 8GB maxxed out RAM... I'm hoping for at least 16 GB, if not more (but if forced, I'd even settle for 12 GB).

I also want quad high def (QHD? QHD+?), but here is the kicker: I do NOT want dedicated graphics. I don't want Nvidia or AMD, unless the AMD chip is an APU (and I am guessing the market is quite thin for high performance AMD systems with QHD). I don't do graphics or games, and I don't need the battery hit or the heat or the inevitable damage the system will take in 2 years when the integrated begins to fail outside of warranty...

I'd love an XPS 13, but they max out at 8 GB RAM, and it isn't clear to me that you can get both QHD and Intel integrated graphics.

I wouldn't mind an XPS 15 with the infinity display, but again, I can't seem to find one without discrete GPUs.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Here is to hoping the Surface 4 has USB C charging and 16 gig RAM option...

I ran into a max of 8GB RAM without discrete graphics on every site I checked. Sorry this isn't very helpful, but what CPU are you currently using? I'm wondering if RAM usage would be lessened by a different CPU that is better at threading and/or a better GPU (I know, didn't want to go there) that can offload some cycles.

Unfortunately I work in tech support for manufacturing software and that involves lots of VMs, SQL servers, MySQL servers, remote support tools, outlook, office, CRM interfaces, phone management and various other utilities, not to mention the software we actually develop, and external usb monitor dongles, and that all adds up. I am surviving on 8 GB on a first generation i5... I am looking for my next system to allow me some breathing room... A new true quad core i7 is a given. But the ram still needs to be addressed, and 1080p is going to be an upgrade, but id rather go qhd, as ill actually use that screen real estate...

OK, from what I've seen those are going to come with discrete graphics, generally NVIDIA mobile chips - which means getting ventilation. If I come across anything I'll be sure to reply here, hopefully someone else will have ideas too. Good luck!

Oddly enough, many of my coworkers use retina macbooks and bootcamp... However, a) I have no need for a mac or to pay the mac tax, and b) they still have 8 gb of RAM (that was within the budget at the time)...
