Windows Central Question

My old Lumia 730 got malfunctioned. I wanted to upgrade in same price range, but unfortunately there isn't any proper hardware out there. Lumia 650 seems like a downgrade.

That would depend on what you would define as low -mid range. Microsoft has essentially dropped the Lumia line and I suspect that the 950 might be the last one we see in a while. If you are determined to stick with Windows phone, the Lumia 735 is still around, but, I would recommend an unlocked Lumia 950. Currently, through the Microsoft store, if you buy a 950 you get a free display dock with it, which I see as a very good deal.

No , Microsoft is ending the Lumia series with the last devices being 950/XL we dont expect to see any new device until next year. If rumors are true we might see a surface phone but those are just word of mouth and we have no hardcore evidence to support this.

The only downgrade you might feel with lumia 650 will be with the processor, being snapdragon 212 as compared to lumia 730 snapdragon 400. But on all other factors lumia 650 definitely has the edge over 730. Dont be let down by the processor, you wont feel the difference actually. Also considering lumia 650 been launched with windows 10, the device is meant for windows 10 which is the future of windows phone :)

You can also have the lumia 640xl , it is at par with lumia 730 and fit for your budget . :)

you might also try other companies if they sell windows mobile devices in your region
