App store requirements: Gyroscope

There are some apps that I wanted to install that have the requirement of gyroscope listed, however the store won't allow me to install these as it says the phone doesn't meet the requirements. I know the 950XL has a gyroscope, so what gives? any one else have similar problems or know how to fix it?
