Hello,

today, I want to introduce to you my app Where Is My Car? which is an app that helps you managing/finding your parked car. It can save the car?s location with just one tap right from the start screen and also has a parking time reminder. If you have a Windows Phone 8 device, you may enlarge the app's primary tile to display information about your parked car on the start screen. Two days ago, the latest version passed certification, which finally supports imperial distance units. On Windows Phone 8, additionally to the built-in directions function of Windows Phone, third party apps like HERE Maps can now be used to display walking directions to the car. Maybe the most interesting feature of this app which sets it apart from other car finding apps is the augmented reality view.

This app has been in the store for a while now and should be well tested. If you find any bugs, just use the feedback link on the app's about page or post here. Want additional features? Let's discuss it here or use the feedback link, too.

Have fun!

I have updated Where Is My Car? to Version 2.2.0.1000 which adds a share function that works completely cloud-less: You can share your car's location via a special carat (read "car at") URI (e.g. carat:40.75777,-73.98570?u=3&t=2014...-13T16:01:12-04:00&r=-PT10M&n=At+Times+Square) that contains all information about the parked car in emails, text messages, NFC, social networks etc. When you click on such an URI, Where Is My Car? will lauch automatically and offer to import the information. Additionally, you may share your car's location as a geo URI (e.g. geo:40.75777,-73.98570) or as a Bing Maps or Google Maps URL.

The new version is available in the store now, check it out.

Version 2.4.0.1000 is in the store now which adds a privacy setting to disable the camera. Of course, the camera stream is never saved and never transmitted outside your device, but some people still feel uncomfortable having the camera enabled. Using this function, it is also easier to use this app in areas where usage of cameras might not be appropriate.
