Apps crashing and showing up as pending - won't launch

So I had a weird thing happen to me on my 950 today:

I was using an app - and it crashed on me (which is fine - I'm used to it with some apps atm, whatever it's a beta) but instead of the usual just re-opening the app and all is fine it did something else.

The tile on my Start Screen greyed out like when apps are still updating after a new build. And it says "pending" on the apps list.

I go to the store and there's no update pending. I hit the launch button and then the "buy" button shows up randomly. I hit that and it says it's preparing to download but it doesn't download - just throws up the notification that the app has installed. I hit the launch button again and nothing happens now.

So I'm now stuck! Don't want to uninstall and re-install the app if I can help it as right now it doesn't back up fully. I guess I'm now just waiting till the next build or the next app update to see if it fixes anything... :straight:

Wondered if anyone else had experienced this? I had done a quick search but couldn't find anything.

Are these apps all stored in SD card?
Did you tried a sodt reset for forcing sd checking?

I got fed up with continual SD card fixing, whether that was .338 or any other TH release, and RS builds. I decided to lump them all internally and use SD for music etc. Not an issue anymore on 950xl. All apps available as soon as start screen appears, and enough storage left for all my other junk! Lol

Uninstall / reinstall, via All apps list or direct via Settings -> System -> Storage -> Device (or SD, accordin where app is installed) -> Apps -> locate app, tap on it, remove
