Are any disadvantages for custom scaling?

The recommended settings for laptop makes everything larger than I want, and the second best makes them smaller, so I went for custom scaling.

Curious, Are there any disadvantages?

Might see some more blurriness depending on the app, because a developer can reasonably expect 100, 125, 150% but an odd number may throw off the program slightly.

Since its largely graphical, I'd just use whatever setting you please until you run into any graphical issues.
